To witness to the merciful love of Christ for the poor and the sick in word, deed and sacrament through serving the
medical, pastoral and humanitarian needs of people affected by man-made and natural disasters regardless of race,
religion or ethnicity.
Camillian Task Force (CTF)
Servants of St. Camillus Disaster Relief Services (SOS D
RS)
CTF/SOS D
RS is the international disaster relief organization of the Catholic
Order of the Ministers of the Infirm.
It is a network of Camillians and collaborators, men and women - lay people, priests, deacons, sisters and brothers
- who are committed to living their faith and the Camillian charism.
Members of the CTF respond as teams to man-made and natural disasters. They offer their pastoral presence,
professional healthcare competence and humanitarian support. At the disaster site and elsewhere, members of the
CTF live, work and worship together.
They are healthcare workers (doctors, nurses, dentists, midwives, community health workers, pharmacists);
pastoral care agents (trauma and HIV counselors; those who visit the sick; chaplains); students, translators
and other people committed to providing humanitarian support (food, clothing, logistics).
The CTF is committed to collaborating closely with like-minded organizations and the local church diocese.
SOS D
RS is a public charity in the US – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that came into
existence in October 2008. It represents the Camillian Task Force (CTF) in the USA.
The CTF was itself established in Italy in 2001, and is the international disaster relief organization of the
Ministers of the Infirm – the Catholic religious order founded by St. Camillus de Lellis in 1591.
